Causeway: British-Irish Youth Programme

Youth leaders and youth workers (working directly with young people
aged 13-25 years) interested in running a Causeway Youth or Contact
Exchange who are looking for partners. |
Aims of contact making seminar:
- To provide contact making opportunities for youth leaders and youth
workers from Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales.
- To give information about exchanges and other funding opportunities
within the Causeway programme.
- To help participants to develop projects & ideas for exchanges
with young people.
- To assist participants to prepare quality Causeway applications for
the 1st November 2008 deadline.
- To provide the opportunity to learning new skills and share your
experiences.
Cost:
There is a €50 nominal fee payable by all participants. Apart from
this Léargas will cover the accommodation (room-sharing), food
and training costs for all participants. Participants from the Republic
of Ireland are required to pay for their own travel to the event.
Content:
- Participants will be bought through a series of practical activities
giving them greater insight into good practice in Causeway youth exchanges.
- Participants will learn the basics in developing a quality programme
of activities for an exchange, and how to present it in a funding application.
